The most excellent Renault 5 GT Turbo, great fun, fantastic handling and fast! Even better was it was a 1.4 engine, so meant a very low tax bracket in those days. Trouble is, it ran four star, so had a limited future.
The almost as good as the 5, the Renault 19 16 Valve, good handling, not so fast, but more room for all my windsurfing gear.
My last car before the MGF was a Calibra SE4, good motorway crusier, shame some git nicked all the wheels off it one day. It looked very funny sitting on the four space saver tyres fitted to get it to the garage.
